Karis

KARIS is a Cardiff and Toronto based writer and director, her recent short film Afiach (Sick) premiered at the LGBTQ Iris Prize Festival and her latest documentary short film, Ernest, premiered at the Wales International Documentary Festival. As a writer she is developing two feature screenplays with support of the BFI and TeleFilm Canada, one of which was shortlisted for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. As an advocate for equal representation of women in front of and behind the camera, KARIS is the founder of FEM Script Lab, a screenwriting lab for female-identifying screenwriters in Toronto.
