Virgenmorena

A multimedia artist, cultural manager, DJ, performer, and queer social researcher from the Mexican Caribbean, their practice intertwines performance, sound, film, research, and embodied pedagogies to explore desire, sexuality, and the party as spaces for collective creation and transformation. They have directed short films, developed interdisciplinary projects, managed cultural events, and presented their work in various countries. From a queer perspective, they reframe hypersexuality through the lenses of pleasure, autonomy, and dissidence.
